Tom's Farm

The farmer who owns the land next to where we live generously offered to drive me around some of his property because he knows I'm an artist and invited my husband and me into his home for a visit. This was earlier in the fall but I had commitments and I was going to be gone for several weeks so I didn't have a chance to paint while the leaves were still bright and the sun was shining. Still, when I had a chance, I saw this scene and stood in the ditch there happily painting it even though it was a cloudy day.
